Daniel Fellowship is coordinating an “Something Sweet” appreciation initiative for the ESC to provide a chance for members of the ESC to send a positive appreciation message to ESC members. It gives thew congregation an opportunity to serve those who are serving the church in various ministries.

All messages must select the department or role of their recipient We encourage you to pick someone from an unfamiliar department to you, as to not overlook those who serves in less prominent roles in the church. Your message can either be sent with your name or anonymously. Alongside your with gracious message, DF will prepare a cookie with the message of appreciation for the recipient to enjoy.
Please do get your message in by June 4 to make sure your message will be passed along on Sunday, June 9.
Cornelius Fellowship invites all members of the English Speaking Congregation to join us on the 3rd Sunday of June, in a time of sharing of our favourite hymns and spiritual songs. This program is prompted by Col 3:16:
“Let the message of Christ dwell among us richly as we teach and admonish one another with all wisdom through psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit, singing to God with gratitude in our hearts.”

VBS will be in the evenings this year on August 19th to August 23rd from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm. VBS is a great opportunity to build connections and work together to share the word of God to our children in our community and neighbourhood.
Registration will begin June 9th, 2024 (Ages 6-12) upstairs outside of children worship room at 11:00 am. The cost for each child will be $50 for the week.

Sunday School Classes today at 11:30pm Spiritual Leadership in the Books of Moses (Hansel Wang) – While most of the textbooks on leadership in general and church leadership in specific focus on the organizational aspects of goal, objective, mission, relationally, span of control, team and teamwork, etc., this course will explore the significance of spiritual leadership in the Divine Presence that develops an individual of Abraham to the nation of Israel and from a group of slaves wandering in the desert to a generation of free people ready to take possession of the Promised Land in the first five books of the Bible. Acts of the Apostles (Y. C. Ip) – The book of Acts is a continuance of all that Jesus began to do and teach (ch 1:1). The Lord is not on this earth bodily now, but those who are believers are here in His stead for the spread of the gospel. However, before they can ever be effective in the spread of the gospel, there must be the empowering by the Holy Spirit.
Sending off prayer for the Panama short term missions team.
We will be sending a short term mission team to Panama this Summer to help run an English Camp in support for the local churches. It is an overnight English youth camp that also focuses on the gospel. The English lessons will be VBS style, using Bible stories, songs and sharing of the gospel. The chance to improve one’s language skills is the draw for many non-Christian parents and youths. Mission Dates (June 7-17) and Fees*

Based on the recommendation from the VCEFC Critical Response Team and the approval from the Church Board, the mask mandate is changed from mandatory to recommended starting on April 1. Due to the health and comfort of the others, please consider wearing a mask when there is a mass gathering. Continue to stay at home if you are not feeling well.
