Pastor Joe grew up at VCEFC and have many wonderful childhood memories associated the church. He received his undergraduate degree in Archaeology at Simon Fraser University, and his M. Div. from ACTS Seminary at TWU. After a period of pastoring elsewhere, Pastor Joe returned with his wife Jeanie, and his two young boys, to serve at the church where he considers his spiritual home. Pastor Joe currently oversees the English ministry.
Pastor Joe loves the great outdoors and enjoys kayaking, hiking and camping with his family.

Pastor Job joined our staff in 2013. He is a graduate of Ambrose Seminary Calgary, Alberta. Pastor Job and his wife Cindy were raised in Hong Kong and had been living in Calgary for over 20 years before moving to Vancouver in 2013. They have two lovely and cheerful daughters, Hannah and Abigail.
Job is our congregation pastor focusing on Cantonese speaking youth and young adult ministries. He delights in reading books at a leisurely pace, fixing little things around the house, and sharing funny stories and jokes with the family.

Pastor Wai-Mui immigrated to here from Hong Kong in the 1990’s. She has been in Vancouver after marriage and has two daughters. Pastor Wai-Mui graduated from Evangel Theological College (Bachelor of Theology), Hong Kong in 1986 and continued her studies at Regent College (Master of Divinity), Vancouver in 1994.
Her favourite past times involve resting and reading — especially history. Her passion is to build up a people who have a heart for God, who love His Word, who seek Him through prayer, and desire to make Him known.
She is now an Assistant Pastor in the Cantonese Congregation’s Adult Ministry, taking up the lady and senior ministries.

Pastor Janie had graduated from her university studies at Nova Scotia and pursued her M.Div. degree at Alliance Biblical Seminary, Hong Kong. After completion of her theological training, she pastored in Hong Kong for many years before moving back to Canada.
She is now an Assistant Pastor in the Cantonese Congregation’s Adult Ministry, taking up the ladies and various adult and family ministries. Her ministerial passion is building up believers to become a community for the loving and serving of the Lord as well as leading people to God’s salvation.
Pastor Janie, her husband and their two children enjoy living in Vancouver. In her leisure, she likes listening to music, participating in parenting activities and tasting delicacies of different places.

Pastor Cheryl obtained her Master of Christian Studies from Alliance Bible Seminary and her Doctor of Worship Studies from the Robert E. Webber Institute for Worship Studies. She was born and raised in Hong Kong and has been participating in the Evangelical Free Church. She has been living in Vancouver since 2023.
Cheryl is now an Assistant Pastor in the Cantonese Congregation’s Adult Ministry. She cares about the spiritual formation of individual and the community of faith. She commits herself to building communities that worship the Lord wholeheartedly.
She likes reading, singing, and watching movies at her leisure. She enjoys floral and ceramic art creation.

Pastor Thomas was born in Wuhan (China) and graduated from Wuhan University of Technology with a bachelor’s degree in law. In 2018, he came to Vancouver to study at Regent College, from where he obtained his Master of Divinity degree.
He now serves as an assistant pastor in the Mandarin Congregation and focuses on various Mandarin ministries of the congregation. The goal of his ministry is to build a church community that has a vigorous spiritual life and a strong sense of its missional identity and lead more people to know the Lord Jesus.
Pastor Thomas and his wife Jenny have two children. Besides reading books on theology, he also enjoys watching movies, listening to music, and exploring various tech gadgets.

Pastor Lucy grew up at a Christian home in Hunan Province, China. She moved to Wuhan to study at the Hubei University of Chinese Medicine in 2008, and graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Chinese Pharmacy in 2013. During college, she got baptized and confirmed her calling from God to pastoral ministry, and in 2017, God led her to study at Regent College. In 2021, she graduated with a Masters of Arts in Theological Studies, concentrated on children’s spiritual formation.

Pastor Danny grew up in the Vancouver Chinese Evangelical Free Church (VCEFC) and pursued his theological training at ACTS Seminaries. He has faithfully served within the Evangelical Free Church of Canada (EFCC) denomination. Currently residing in Burnaby with his wife and two young children, Pastor Danny is also a dog lover, with two furry companions. In his free time, he enjoys exploring the world of specialty coffee.
Pastor Danny currently serves in the English Speaking Congregation, working together with high school and university students to find their purpose and passion in Christ.
