- Happy Father’s Day to all the fathers in our church. We continue to pray that God will bless them in their roles as fathers in their families. Also, the church has prepared mobile phone holders as gifts for fathers.
- Panama Short-Term Mission Update:
Please continue to pray that God will use the Panama short-term missions team to build up the faith of the children at the English Camp. Also, pray that God will use the team to encourage the local church as they visit and participate in their praise and worship night.
For updates from the team and how you can continue to pray for them, please check the church website. - Cornelius Fellowship invites all members of the English Speaking Congregation to join us on the 3rd Sunday of June, in a time of sharing of our favourite hymns and spiritual songs. This program is prompted by Col 3:16:
“Let the message of Christ dwell among us richly as we teach and admonish one another with all wisdom through psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit, singing to God with gratitude in our hearts.”
Date: June 16th
Location: Fellowship Hall
Agenda: 12:45-1:30 pm – bring your own lunch (snacks and drinks will be provided)
1:30-2:45pm – Sharing of favourite hymns and songs
Please inform Cathy Wang (cathy7wang@gmail.com) of your choice by June 2. - VBS will be in the evenings this year on August 19th to August 23rd from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm. VBS is a great opportunity to build connections and work together to share the word of God to our children in our community and neighbourhood.
There are still spots available for VBS registration (Ages 6-12). The cost for each child will be $50 for the week. We will continue to have a registration table outside the children worship upstairs after service at 10:45 am. This year’s summer learning consists of two video series from Right Now Media. These two short courses are designed to help Christians encountering our constantly changing world while we remain rooted in Jesus Christ and the Word of God (i.e. Bible).

Part 2 – Faith in Hostile Times – Pastor BERNI DYMET
Are you overwhelmed by the godlessness sweeping across our world and flooding every corner of cyberspace? Are you disillusioned that the most vitriolic voices in debates are sometimes those of people calling themselves Christians? In this five-part series, Pastor Berni Dymet explores how Jesus engaged with and responded to people who were hostile toward Him. In Jesus’ example, we find a way to hold tight to the truth, while speaking in love to a world that desperately needs it.

Session 5: Shining the Light of Christ - Neighbourhood Coffee Ministry is looking for volunteers to help serve coffee and refreshments to our neighbours after church on July 14 (Sunday) from 1:30-3:30pm. If you are interested, please let us know at hello@vcefc.org .
- Please note that the underground parking is reserved for seniors and families with babies/toddlers on Sundays. And to make sure you do not park at the back lane or on our neighbours’ property.
- Open Gym for the church: 3pm-5:30 every 1st and 3rd Sundays of the month at Vancouver Christian School (Entrance through the front garage gate).
- As the church continue to grow, we have noticed that more and more brothers and sisters in church may share the same first and last names. Please make sure to include your phone number (or mailing address) on the Offering Envelop or on the Remarks Section for e-transfer to avoid confusion on your Donation Slip.
- In the event that your contact information has changed (i.e. address, telephone number, or email address), please contact the church office to update the directory.
- Based on the recommendation from the VCEFC Critical Response Team and the approval from the Church Board, the mask mandate is changed from mandatory to recommended starting on April 1. Due to the health and comfort of the others, please consider wearing a mask when there is a mass gathering. Continue to stay at home if you are not feeling well.
