  • Open Nomination: In accordance with the article 4.1.5 of our By-law, any two members of a congregation, after seeking advice from the Congregation Pastor, may nominate a third member of the same congregation as a candidate for an eligible leadership position. The nomination has to be presented in writing to the Church Board by October 17.  The nomination must be signed by the nominee and the nominating members.
  • AGM Meeting and Election Process Changes:  Due to the current pandemic emergent condition as declared by the government of B.C., our in-person election process has to be suspended. The Board has decided to use the mail-in voting process to ensure that all members can vote in closed ballots. A voting package will be sent out to each member of the Church by mail on October 19. Members will be requested to return the closed ballots to the Church by mail (pre-paid return envelops will be provided as part of the voting package), and all ballots must be received by Nov 6 to be valid. As well, to accommodate this mailing process, the AGM for 2020 will be held on Nov 8. Members are requested to provide mailing address updates for Church’s record as soon as possible by phone or email.
  • Awana registration is still open, you may download the form here: https://vcefc.org/1033/wp-content/uploads/Awana-2020-21-Registration-Form.pdf and please send it to awana@vcefc.org if you would like to register your child (Age 3 to Grade 6) for this year’s online Awana.
  • The 45th Anniversary Christmas Joint Worship will be held on December 25th, Christmas morning. We are now recruiting Online joint Choir Member. If you are interested, please email Johnny Kwan (johnnyyckwan@gmail.com) to register before October 4th, next Sunday.
  • VCEFC In-person Worship Restart Survey. As British Columbia is currently in phase 3 of our province’s restart plan, the leadership of our church is currently working on a safe and responsible way to return some in-person ministries to the church, including Sunday worship for our three congregations. We ask for your patience and prayers for wisdom as we address the many logistic and safety elements that need to be in place before our return. Please assist our planning process by filling out a short survey regarding your comfort level and worship schedule preferences for returning to in-person worship at church here. Your feedback is valuable as we plan for the safe return of small church gatherings and other church programs. The survey will close at the end of October.
  • VCEFC Missions Conference: VCEFC is partnering up with OMF in hosting a missions conference on the weekend of October 16-18. As COVID-19 disrupts everything, where is God? Join us online to see how he continues to work out his good purposes for us and our world.
    • Friday, October 16, 7pm Conference and Saturday, Oct. 17, 9am Workshop will be on zoom. (Free Registration is require).

  • Fall Online Sunday School: Fall online Sunday school semester has begun. There are three classes available for enrolment.  1. The Subversion of Christianity II / Philemon – Hansel Wang 2. Galatians – YC Ip 3. Missions – Pastor Joe. All the classes will held every Sunday morning on Zoom at 10:45 am. Please click here for more information and course outline.

  • ONLINE OFFERING: As our church has temporary suspended all gatherings and moved our weekly worship services online during the COVID-19 pandemic, you have the option to give your offering through Interac e-transfer. You can still mail your cheques, or drop off your offering at the church. For further instruction on how to  give online, click here.
