1. Position of ESC Congregation Pastor
Has the Lord called and equipped you to serve as a pastor to a multi-generational English-speaking congregation in a Chinese church in Vancouver, Canada? Then, the Lord may be preparing you to serve the Vancouver Chinese Evangelical Free Church as its next English-speaking Congregation Associate Pastor.
As the lead pastor of the English-speaking Congregation, you will have the privilege of preaching the Word of God, planning and leading the Sunday Services of the congregation, leading a core group of dedicated volunteers, providing pastoral care and spiritual direction for those navigating life’s major transitions, and serving as an ambassador for Christ and the church in the community.
We value our relationship with the other congregations as many of our congregants are second generation Chinese Canadians, and we share common ministries in the church. We should welcome a pastor who can help us create a vision for how to utilize our strengths as a multi-generational Chinese church.
Qualifications: A theological degree from an accredited North American evangelical theological seminary or equivalent, preferably with a Master of Divinity. At least 10 years of full-time pastoral ministry experience with supervisory responsibilities over junior staff will be an asset.

2. Position of Children Ministry Director/Pastor
Has the Lord called and equipped you to serve in Children’s Ministry for nurturing the spiritual growth of kids in a multi-generational and multilingual Chinese church in Vancouver, Canada? Then, the Lord may be preparing you to serve the Vancouver Chinese Evangelical Free Church as its next Children’s Ministry Director/Pastor.
As the Children’s Ministry Director/Pastor, you will have the privilege of teaching the Word of God, sharing your faith with kids and leading a team of dedicated children’s ministry leaders and teachers in supporting various children ministry programs such as Children’s Worship and Sunday School, AWANA and Vacation Bible School. It will be an advantage if you have the experience serving in a cross-cultural environment.
Qualifications: A Master of Divinity degree from an accredited institution with a minimum of 2 years of relevant ministry experience, or, a Bachelor of Arts degree in theological study from an accredited institution (majoring in Christian education; specializing in spiritual development of children will be an asset) with a minimum of 5 years of experience in leading children ministry/programs.
