Awana uses the gospel to show children the love of Jesus Christ and to build disciples.<\/p>\n<h2><\/h2>\n<h2><strong>Our Clubs<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>VCEFC offers Awana during the school year (September to June) for children in Kindergarten to Grade 6. Each club meets weekly on Saturday afternoons. Awana is open for children of both members and non-members of our church. We have 2 clubs for different age groups:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Sparks (Kindergarten to Grade 2)<\/li>\n<li>Truth &amp; Training (Grade 3 to Grade 6)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><\/h2>\n<h2><strong>Our Program<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Each Awana meeting includes several activities. Club specific activities include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Singing<\/li>\n<li>Handbook\/Small Group Time<\/li>\n<li>Games<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><\/h2>\n<p>Occasionally we will have special club events.<\/p>\n<p>During singing time, children are taught the meaning and purpose of worship through a variety of songs. Specially designed Awana handbooks are used during small group time to help children grow in their faith and knowledge of God and the Bible. Scripture memorization is an important part of Awana club as it encourages clubbers to learn and apply God\u2019s word in their daily lives. Games time allows children to build relationships with each other and their leaders through fun activities.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Our Team<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>We have trained leaders on our team, all of whom are very dedicated to serving the children of Awana each week and fostering fellowship with each other. Our leaders are encouraged by the continual growth and curiosity of the clubbers as they walk with them in their faith journey.
